S. 2430 is an important piece of conservation legislation which would extend the Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act of 1990. S. 2430 continues the coordination between the numerous management entities, Federal, local, regional, State and tribal, involved in the Great Lakes region. In addition, the bill will continue the efforts to improve and restore fish and wildlife resources and important habitat areas. S. 2430 is sponsored by Senator Mike DeWine, and I commend the senator for his tireless leadership on behalf of the Great Lakes region and, in particular, his Ohio constituents. I urge an ``aye'' vote on this legislation.
