If our taxpayer dollars are being used to fund an operation whereby we're encouraging illegal immigration, we're encouraging through funding these organizations people to make these deadly treks across our Southern border, it seems to me that we should be able to get some answers to questions.
I don't think anyone on this panel or otherwise could argue against a regulatory structure that is clear, consistent, and works for all impacted parties, including the lenders.
I believe that if our subcommittee, and the Full Committee, and this House, is able to draft legislation, learning lessons from some of those disasters most recently I would just request that we go back, even further, at the Chair and the Full Committee's indulgence to look at what went well, and what didn't, with the response to Superstorm Sandy.
