I am a little confused. If the Democrats sincerely want to pass a law relative to IVF, wouldn't they ordinarily work to have an amendment process where we can actually have debate and maybe achieve some consensus? It seems to me that by introducing a bill that they know is bound to fail and blocking the bill that you and the Senator from Alabama have offered, they are guaranteeing there will be no Federal protection for IVF. Am I missing something?
