John Cornyn: “What other programs will this effort be expanded to in the near future?”

We are pleased that the Department of Justice has issued a formal order terminating the anti-weaponization fund.

This morning I had a very good conversation with judge Merrick Garland, who President Biden has nominated for attorney general.

There’s nothing we could do to rein in the president when he said he likes the fund and he wishes it still exists, but the fact of the matter [is] it’s dead, and that’s all we could do under these circumstances.

That order has been rescinded, and so that’s gone away.
