John Cornyn: “I think this is just an intermission. I don’t think this is a conclusion.”

This is unfortunately shaping up to be a close and I hope not disastrous election.

This morning I had a very good conversation with judge Merrick Garland, who President Biden has nominated for attorney general.

I think we were very close to resolving our differences in a way that was acceptable to the Department of Justice, but it’s clear that the president decided that was unacceptable.

They just don’t want to do it.
