John Cornyn: “May I ask how much time remains? The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. Three minutes.”

This morning I had a very good conversation with judge Merrick Garland, who President Biden has nominated for attorney general.

We didn’t have the authority to sort that out.

If this were just between me and Todd Blanche, we would have worked this out, but, apparently, he’s getting some pushback from higher-ups at the White House. I don’t know who, but it doesn’t need to be this hard.

Well, there’s nothing we could do to rein in the president when he said he likes the fund and he wishes it still exists.
