Further, if present and voting, the Senator from Alabama (Mr. Shelby) would have voted ``yea.''

We needed to set the record straight there because I think some people are under the impression that just because he says, ‘Well, we’re not going to pursue the weaponization fund,’ that it couldn’t be revived at a later time.
The only way it seems like you can get the administration’s attention on some of these funding issues is by using the leverage to withhold votes on nominees.
It’s going to make things harder, certainly more expensive in Texas, and make it harder around the country.
