“I want to thank the gentleman from Florida for his amendment. I rise in support of the amendment. The FORM Act provides for GAO audits of the Federal Reserve but is silent as to the frequency of when audits should occur. I think the gentleman makes a compelling case. This will clarify that GAO should audit the Fed on an annual basis, and it will serve to help inform Congress and the American people with regular updates on the Fed's activities. It will promote greater transparency and accountability, which is the objective of the bill. I urge all Members to adopt the amendment. I thank the gentleman for his leadership here.
