“I thank the gentleman from North Carolina for his comments tonight. I thank him for his leadership on our committee, not only on dealing with Dodd-Frank, but dealing with the very serious issue of terrorist financing, where he serves as the vice chair of our task force on that subject. Mr. Speaker, I yield to the gentleman from Minnesota (Mr. Emmer), the newest member of the House Committee on Financial Services. Although he is new to the committee, it didn't take him too long to figure out, by speaking to his constituents and speaking to his credit unions and community banks, that Dodd-Frank is not working, that Dodd-Frank is helping make this economy less stable and making the American people less prosperous and less free.”
