I commend President Obama and you, Secretary Lew, for taking swift action to restore public confidence in the IRS.

I don't know the level of responsibility that you and the President bear for this scandal, but I know it is not zero.

So my hope is as Chairman of FSOC, you will work with us to assure more accountability and more transparency.

What the IRS did was wrong, because it tried to turn our citizens into subjects.
