I welcome the resolution adopted yesterday by the United Nations Security Council.

I now urge the international community to turn words into action and make every effort to bring lasting peace to the region.

We hope that Senator Reid would seize this as an opportunity to work constructively within the administration.

The stakes are enormously high and enormously important.
