George W. Bush: “I want you all to understand that as we work to peace—as we work for peace— and that's my goal—we must also work to make…”

We know our words cannot help, but we believe the prayers of so many Americans will.

We are grateful to the first responders and volunteers who are working to find the missing and comfort the grieving at Camp Mystic and along the Guadalupe.

Is it in our interest that 25 million people who would have died now live? I think it is. On behalf of a grateful nation, thank you for your hard work and God bless you.

You've showed the great strength of America through your work—and that is your good heart.
