George W. Bush: “I’m proud to welcome him as the chief financial officer of this Nation.”

On this day of prayer, Laura and I are holding up our fellow Texans who are hurting.

We know our words cannot help, but we believe the prayers of so many Americans will.

If any voters came hoping for a kind word and a hug, they’d have to settle for the kind word.

We are heartbroken by the loss of life and the agony so many are feeling.
