George W. Bush: “I do hereby proclaim the week of October 8 through October 14, 2006, as National School Lunch Week.”

We are heartbroken by the loss of life and the agony so many are feeling.

On this day of prayer, Laura and I are holding up our fellow Texans who are hurting.

We know our words cannot help, but we believe the prayers of so many Americans will.

Is it in our national interests that 25 million people who would have died now live? I think it is, and so do you.
