The Clerk read as follows: Mr. Crenshaw moves to recommit the bill, H.R. 2467, to the Committee on Energy and Commerce. The material previously referred to by Mr. Crenshaw is as follows: In section 2-- (1) redesignate subsections (d) and (e) as subsections (e) and (f), respectively; and (2) insert after subsection (c) the following: (d) Protective Gear.--No person shall be liable under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (42 U.S.C. 9601 et seq.) for the costs of responding to, or damages resulting from, a release to the environment of a perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substance designated as a hazardous substance under section 102(a) of such Act that is related to the manufacture of individual protective equipment, including body armor, that is designed to protect members of the United States military, law enforcement personnel, or first responders (including Federal, State, local, territorial, and Tribal law enforcement personnel and first responders) from-- (1) threats posed by ballistic, edged, chemical, biological, or other weaponry; or (2) hazards posed by extreme weather.
