For too long, Washington has rewarded longevity with greater power, higher pay and deeper entrenchment. If members of Congress want to serve beyond 12 years absent a constitutional amendment limiting them, they should do so without taxpayer-funded salaries and without monopolizing committee chairs and leadership positions.

These are all issues people that I represent care about intently and that we've talked about doing, and we need to deliver.
NO ON CR. NO ON RULE THAT DOES NOT ALLOW US TO AMEND AND FIX THE CR: The House of Representatives will be voting for a government funding continuing resolution TODAY that FAILS to deliver on common-sense policies for the American people.
I think we need greater clarity there. I think Congress needs to exercise more of its powers here.
I'm not done this year demanding that we have a straight up-or-down vote on stock trading.
