“I thank the gentlemen who were just speaking on the floor, my friend, Mr. Wenstrup, and my friend, Mr. Palmer, for what they were doing in reminding the American people what happened 7 years ago. It too easily gets glossed over for the politically motivated attack on Members of Congress that it was. A lot of statements are made about January 6, about things that have occurred, but not enough is made about what happened that day when someone was targeting our friends, our colleagues, for political reasons.
