The debt limit for next year, everybody increases the debt limit for next year. The reason we do it is because the budget you voted in place in 2001 and 2002 has dug us this hole. We are suggesting in the Blue Dog budget to stop digging the hole deeper. We have got to stop digging the hole deeper. You want to keep digging it deeper and deeper and deeper, but you misrepresent totally the Blue Dogs because we do not spend one dime more than you propose spending in your budget tonight. We also have $1.8 trillion less debt over the 10 years, and $120 billion next year. That is not small potatoes.

I come to the floor very disappointed because once again the majority has chosen not to allow the Blue Dogs to have our amendment considered. I would like to ask the gentleman from Washington, why did his committee allow 19 amendments…
