We must pass this bill today, the Born- Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. We have seen the gruesome videos. They are not doctored. I dare say, none of these folks that we are hearing from the other side of the aisle have watched them all. How can they make a recommendation or an appraisal? They show senior Planned Parenthood officials, former employees, and a tissue procurement company discussing the sale of ``intact'' unborn baby parts. This is disgusting. It is inhumane. A society and culture that refuses to stand up and say this will not be tolerated is a society that is in grave danger. A child born alive during an abortion procedure is the most vulnerable living human being on Earth, and they should be granted full legal protections. Medical practitioners who fail to provide necessary care for that baby must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and this bill does just that. While it is so sad that an act of Congress is required to ensure such compassionate care, we must do all we can to provide for the safety of babies that are born alive as a result of failed abortion procedures. It is absolutely necessary that we end this inhumane practice today.
