Thank you. I should be able to do this in a minute. A letter from the General Counsel of the Department of Defense to Senator Inhofe says: The Department of Defense supports Senate 2827, a bill to repeal the requirement with respect to the procurement and acquisition of alternative fuels. The bill would repeal section 526 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. Section 526 has the potential to generate significant problems for the DOD and its procurement of fuels for the national defense. It creates uncertainty about what fuels the DOD can procure and discourage the development of new sources, particularly reliable domestic sources of energy supplies for the Armed Forces.
