And as physicians have to swear an oath that, above all else, do no harm, we need to remember that as lawmakers, when we look at the problems that our country faces, that we need to ensure that the solutions that we propose do not cause more problems than the current challenges that we face. And that is exactly the devil in the details of this so-called comprehensive immigration reform proposal that the Senate is moving this week.
