“I take this opportunity, before we enter into the final vote on the resolution, to congratulate the chairman of the Budget Committee, Senator Nickles, first, on bringing before this Chamber a budget resolution, and for the last 7 days of his very diligent work. My thanks to him and his staff for the long hours of hard work and their dedication. I also thank the ranking member, Senator Kent Conrad, for his cooperation here on the floor, as well as that of the Democratic assistant minority leader and the minority leader.
