telemedicine is, indeed, one of the most exciting new technologies to come along in medicine and in the application of carrying out what we know in terms of new knowledge, current knowledge, and the application. But it is very important for people to understand that its real limitation is that it is used principally for diagnostic purposes today. Over time that will change a bit. And it is advancing every day. But the quotation you just read is exactly correct. Telemedicine will never eliminate the need for emergency transportation, emergency transport, to an acute care facility.
