for the next few minutes, we will be getting unanimous consents on two issues that will outline what we will be doing during the early to mid part of next week. Before doing that, I move that the Senate insist on its amendment, request a conference with the House, and the Chair be authorized to appoint conferees. The motion was agreed to, and the Presiding Officer appointed Mr. Gregg, Mr. Cochran, Mr. Stevens, Mr. Specter, Mr. Domenici, Mr. Shelby, Mr. Craig, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Allard, Mr. Byrd, Mr. Inouye, Mr. Leahy, Ms. Mikulski, Mr. Kohl, Mrs. Murray, Mr. Reid of Nevada, and Mrs. Feinstein conferees on the part of the Senate. ____________________
