I object to the request for the modification. Mr. President, I have tried, as you can see, on numerous occasions to reach an agreement for something very simple, and that is an up-or-down vote on this qualified nominee. Once again, there has been an objection from the other side of the aisle. It is time to allow the Senate to work its will on this nomination, the will of the Senate. We are here, as you can see, ready to vote.
