But we do have to recognize that the Congress is not able to repeal the laws of mathematics here, though we try on a regular basis, and that reality always has to be remembered, and will have the last word.

By streamlining and optimizing the FAA's organizational structure to facilitate as much technological advancement as we possibly can, the American aviation industry won't only be able to compete with China, they will be able to supersede China, and they will remain the gold standard for advanced aerospace development and practice.
A lot more work that needs to be done, and I commend Chairman Graves for holding this hearing on this subject.
Your leadership has been tremendous in advancing aviation safety and putting advanced aviation at the forefront of the minds of both Congress and the regulators.
