I thank my colleague from Utah. Madam President, thank you for the time and recognition. I want to say thank you to him for bringing this issue forward. As I am out and about in Tennessee, I hear a lot about this. People are concerned about what would happen if those who are illegally in the country get a vote, if they exercise the rights of citizenship, because so many people in Tennessee talk about that, in America, there is nothing more fundamental than guarding our God-given freedoms, approaching the ballot boxes as equal citizens for fair and open elections. And they are quite disturbed because, for the last more than 3 years, what they have seen is that the Biden-Harris administration has waged a war on this sacred institution by working overtime to make illegal immigration legal. Now, you have heard reference to the numbers of illegal aliens--and, by the way, that is the statutory term that is used--and about the numbers that have come into this country. We know it is north of 10 million illegal aliens. The Senator from Kansas referenced this. And the size is larger--the number, the population number--larger than 36 of our States, and the impact that that can have.…
