“I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill, before the short title, insert the following: Sec. __. (a) Each amount made available by this Act, except those amounts made available to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is hereby reduced by 1 percent. (b) The reduction in subsection (a) shall not apply with respect to the following accounts of the Department of Justice: (1) ``Fees and Expenses of Witnesses''. (2) ``Public Safety Officer Benefits''. (3) ``United States Trustee System Fund''. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to the order of the House of today, the gentlewoman from Tennessee (Mrs. Blackburn) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentlewoman from Tennessee.”
