Mark Green: “I stand with these retail investors. I stand with the average person who is trying to make an investment.”

It is with a heavy heart that I announce my retirement from Congress. Recently, I was offered an opportunity in the private sector that was too exciting to pass up.

To my constituents across Tennessee’s 7th District—thank you. The trust you put in me is humbling.

Though I planned to retire at the end of the previous Congress, I stayed to ensure that President Trump's border security measures and priorities make it through Congress.

I commend Rep. Knott for leading legislation that will ensure DHS has the right intelligence and preparation to keep accomplishing this mission and protect our communities.
