More from Lamar Alexander
Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, I think, had the best punditry of the weekend today. He said no one should be surprised that a Senate Republican majority is going to vote on a Republican president's nominee.
It could have been down by 40 percent if we could have agreed on the Alexander-Murray negotiation that we had in which Democrats pulled the rug out from under it at the last minute by refusing to vote for the Hyde Amendment compromise.
If you are looking for why health insurance costs are so high in our state, I would suggest to my Democratic friends, they need to look in the mirror because they voted for Obamacare, and prices are up 158 percent since then.
