The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill (before the short title), insert the following: Sec. __. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used-- (1) for the salary or expenses of an officer or employee of the Gender Policy Council of the Executive Office of the President; or (2) to carry out the duties and responsibilities of such Council. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 847, the gentlewoman from Tennessee (Mrs. Harshbarger) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes.
