It was my understanding that all TARP funding was to be used for things the taxpayer would get back. In other words, these were supposed to be investments for which the taxpayers knew they would get 100 percent of their money back and more. So to use this money, is this not taking away from the very essence of what TARP was to be used for and now spending money we know the taxpayers will never get back?
