The best outcome for Ukraine is to have a somewhat decentralized government where Ukraine can be both.

I think that Ukraine is Ukraine. Ukraine is not part of Europe. It is not part of Russia.

There are tremendous issues to overcome in Ukraine, forgetting the external effect that Russia is having on the country.

To counter that 18th century mindset, I welcome President Obama's announcement this week of a European reassurance initiative.
