We have justly condemned human rights abuses against Tibetan Buddhists, Bosnian Muslims, Soviet Jews, and others. Yet there are many, many more whose cries we must also hear. For too long, we have shut them out, perhaps because of ignorance. We can do so no longer. These are the cries of millions of Christians in countries across the world who are harassed, tortured, raped, imprisoned, or even executed for exercising the freedoms we in America so easily enjoy.”
