The assistant bill clerk read as follows: The Senator from Utah [Mr. Lee] proposes an amendment numbered 2313. The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To repeal the forest legacy program) Beginning on page 862, strike line 15 and all that follows through page 863, line 2, and insert the following: SEC. 8103. FOREST LEGACY PROGRAM. (a) In General.--Section 7 of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 2103c) is repealed. (b) Conforming Amendments.-- (1) Section 2A(c) of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 2101a(c)) is amended-- (A) in paragraph (3), by inserting ``and'' after the semicolon; (B) in paragraph (4), by striking ``; and'' and inserting a period; and (C) by striking paragraph (5). (2) Section 19(b)(2) of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 2113(b)(2)) is amended-- (A) in subparagraph (B), by inserting ``and'' after the semicolon; (B) in subparagraph (C), by striking ``; and'' and inserting a period; and (C) by striking subparagraph (D).
