I agree that the new requirement for a ``specific selection term'' in the USA FREEDOM Act of 2015 is separate from the requirement of ``relevance.'' I would like to clarify one last point. Section 104 of the bill authorizes the FISA Court to impose additional, particularized minimization procedures for information obtained under section 501 of FISA. That section provides that the FISA Court may impose additional procedures related to ``the destruction of information within a reasonable time period.'' That provision therefore provides authority for the FISA Court to specify a time period within which the government must destroy information.
