He gets to decide it only if we allow him to decide it. We outnumber him, and if we vote contrary to his will, we can overrule him. If enough Members of this body are willing to stand up for truth and justice and the American way, debate and discussion and the rule of law, this thing he is trying to do to us won't happen. We can have actual debate and discussion. We have responded. We have responded politely and well to his directive that we would stay here this weekend. We had made plans. We have canceled plans in our home States. All of a sudden, his high and mighty speech earlier this week telling us we had to stay here is no longer important when he disagrees with some legislation we put forward. He would rather shut down debate and discussion. He would rather end the process that is absolutely necessary to avert this crisis that is quickly coming than he would to have to confront the facts, offer up his own solution and respond to the valid points that have been made in this debate and in this discussion.
