Let me just make one comment before yielding to my colleague from Minnesota. First, the President has sent over an AUMF. He sent this over 15 months ago. The Speaker yet has to take this Authorization for Use of Military Force up. The President has asked for it. Why don't we do our job? We could at least either bring the one that he sent over, or we need to put our own on the floor. Mr. Chair, I yield 2 minutes to the gentleman from Minnesota (Mr. Ellison). The Acting CHAIR. The gentlewoman from California has 1\1/4\ minutes remaining.
