Lowering these standards now, when so many families are already struggling with rising transportation costs, will only make things harder for them.

We laughed together, fought like hell together for what we wanted our country to be. Prayed together. Thought for a season we had won together, but, well, you know that part of the story. The stakes are high. The pressures are great.

The solution, for the lack of confidence, in government, Mr. Speaker, is more open government, at all levels.

Let's debate twice a week, from now until the nomination is decided, and just go face to face about the issues, and get rid of all these television and radio commercials. Why not do that?
