Mr. Chairman, I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will report the amendment. The Clerk read as follows: At the end of the bill (before the short title), insert the following: Sec. __. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to end, suspend, or relocate hospital-based services with respect to a health care facility of the Department of Veterans Affairs that is-- (1) the subject of an environmental impact statement in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (42 U.S.C. 4321 et seq.); (2) designated as a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service; and (3) located in a highly rural area. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 223, the gentlewoman from South Dakota and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentlewoman from South Dakota.
