John Thune: “I often say that South Dakota punches above its weight in service to the country.”

It’s a great message. I like the message. But it shouldn’t be paid for with taxpayer dollars.

Both pieces of legislation strike at the very heart of issues that the American people care deeply about, passionately about, and we'll see if the Democrats are willing to take yes for an answer.

I worry about that, for sure.
