There's clearly an interest among certain members of our conference for a higher level of military and defense.

It seems to me sometimes I’m the only one who can count to 50 in this town.

Unfortunately, I think after two government shutdowns that have extended for a long period of time, it’s better for everybody if there’s predictability, certainty, and just to take that issue off the table.

But because Texas is such an expensive state, we’re going to need the president and his team to be engaged there and to be putting resources into that race.
