Madam President, I ask unanimous consent when the Senate adjourns on Thursday, Sept. 10, it stand adjourned until 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14.

Unfortunately, I think after two government shutdowns that have extended for a long period of time, it’s better for everybody if there’s predictability, certainty, and just to take that issue off the table.

I mean, I think that Ron's gonna work on it over the break, and his team, and we'll see what they come up with.

We need to turn our fire on Democrats, not on each other.
