The following Senators are necessarily absent: the Senator from Tennessee (Mr. Alexander), the Senator from Iowa (Mr. Grassley), and the Senator from Florida (Mr. Scott). Further, if present and voting, the Senator from Tennessee (Mr. Alexander) would have voted ``yea'', the Senator from Iowa (Mr. Grassley) would have voted ``yea'', and the Senator from Florida (Mr. Scott) would have voted ``yea''.

I’ve indicated to him in most cases — not all — that what he wants done, we just don’t have the votes for, and there’s nothing I can do to change that.
Sometimes they’re mad at the president, sometimes they’re mad at the Congress, and I obviously generate a lot of ire in my direction these days.
I’m hoping that when we get the information, more information about the memorandum of understanding, we’ll have a better sense about what the path forward is.
