John Thune: “we’re going to give them a chance to vote later today on paying people who are working”

It seems to me some days that I'm the only one here who can count to 50 in this town. But we don't have the votes to get rid of the filibuster. And we aren't flipping 10 Democrats to vote for the SAVE America Act.

Madam President, I ask unanimous consent when the Senate adjourns on Thursday, Sept. 10, it stand adjourned until 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14.

If you want to have a Republican Senate majority after the election — is not to have us turning fire on each other, but drawing contrasts with Democrats.
