It’s fair to say that there is a consensus view around here that it is time for the ODNI to be scaled down.
The only way you can obviously get this done is to nuke the legislative filibuster, and that is not something that we have anywhere close to the votes to do.
It would have, as always, the timing would have been better. It would have been nice if we could had this a couple of days earlier, but like I said, you play the hand you’re dealt and we’ll try and figure out the best way to process this…
