once again the House Republican leadership has brought us a bill in H.R. 925, the Private Property Protection Act, which addresses a legitimately important issue, but which is overly broad, ill-considered and poorly drafted. I believe the debate on this important issue should continue, and so I will for now support this legislation in order for the Senate and the conference committees to have an opportunity to revise and improve the legislation. If no such significant improvement is forthcoming from those bodies, however, I am very doubtful that I will be able to vote for this bill on final passage.
