Mr. President, with that clarification, I must regrettably object to the unanimous consent request propounded by the junior Senator from Pennsylvania. But I do hope very much that we can find a way to work toward getting these judges confirmed. These are judges who came out of the Judiciary Committee, which is a fairly contentious committee, unanimously. They are district judges. If we can't move them, then I suggest the Senate is really not working the way it ought to, and I very much hope we can get to a place where we can move them all. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard. The majority leader. Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I think it bears repeating again what I have said the last few days. If you look at the Barack Obama years--he will ultimately have 8 years in the White House--and the George W. Bush 8 years in the White House, and you draw a line at this point in their Presidencies, Barack Obama has gotten 21 more lifetime appointments, Federal judges, than George W. Bush did during the same period. By any objective standard, President Obama has been treated more than fairly during the course of his Presidency--much more fairly than George W. Bush was treated during the same period of his Presidency. I yield the floor. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator from Pennsylvania.

I thank my colleagues for their colloquy. I see the Senator from South Carolina, whose time we are intruding on, has come to the floor. We yield to Senator Scott. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator from South Carolina. H.J. Res. 25

Madam President, I am here for the 35th time to call attention to the rightwing scheme to capture our courts and justice system, now out to target and persecute Trump political enemies and do Trump political favors. We have heard a lot…
--I would add to your comment and request your response to the observation that not only is this an appalling manifestation of greed by people who already have more money than they are able to spend in their entire lifetimes, but the…
