Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate proceed to the immediate consideration of H.R. 5313, which was received from the House and is at the desk. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title. The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows: A bill (H.R. 5313) to protect children and other consumers against hazards associated with the accidental ingestion of button cell or coin batteries by requiring the Consumer Product Safety Commission to promulgate a consumer product safety standard to require child-resistant closures on consumer products that use such batteries, and for other purposes. There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
