I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day; that the majority leader be recognized; that following the remarks of the two leaders, the Senate be in a period of morning business for 1 hour, with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each, with the time equally divided and controlled between the two leaders or their designees, with the first half controlled by the majority and the second half controlled by the Republicans; that following morning business, the Senate resume executive session to consider Calendar No. 99, the nomination of Thomas Perez to be Secretary of Labor, postcloture; further, that all time during adjournment, morning business, legislative session, and recess count postcloture on the Perez nomination.
